Welcome to the Blog series for Chakras!
In this series we go through the Chakras (The Energetic Wheels) from "Ground to Up"
Ajna - The Sixth Chakra
One of its mantras: I am peace Third eye chakra: Where all illusion of separation ceases to appear real Location: Between and just above the eyebrows Vibration/resonance: KSHAM Colour: Indigo Sense: Intuition
Harmony, union, non-discrimination, balance are all terms related to the Ajna chakra.
Some might say that intuition is not a sense and perhaps it isn't. For us intuition combines all senses with something more subtle to create an inner force and voice which allows us to navigate life in an harmonious way. The vision of oneself navigating a boat upon the sea is very peaceful for us at this moment in time and feels like a good analogy to describe this chakra.
It's Yoga Fuerteventura slogan says: "Riding The Waves Of Life". The Founder of It's Yoga Larry used to talk about "Riding the waves of Vinyasa towards your goals" to his students. One meaning of Vinyasa: "to move & to settle".
This is The Seat Of Inner Wisdom, to listen attentively to what is known while trust in the unknown (or what is yet to be felt).
At the level of this chakra the illusion of dualities and separation ends - and with it, all judgement, struggle, uneasiness, discomfort and unrest. Nothing is affected by time once we tune in to the energy of this Chakra.
Physically, we enter a deeper layer of the mind, being able to perceive the world around us beyond what we see with our bodies eyes.
Areas of the body: brain, forehead and eyes
Yoga poses/practices: Pranayamas such as Bhramari (humming bee breath), Yoga Mudras, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Mindfulness, Silent times & retreats...
Some essential oils to stimulate ajna: carrot seed, grapefruit, myrrh, nutmeg, palo santo, petit-grain, sandalwood...
Ajna Mudra: make a fist with left hand and release the index finger (air) straight, wrap the fingers of the right hand around the left index finger and apply a gentle pressure with right thumb (fire) against the left index finger.
Did you know that there are 7 islands in Canary Islands? Fuerteventura is the 6th one.

It's Yoga "Living in A Question"
Do I listen and follow my intuition? Are my thoughts, words and actions bringing me peace? Do I meditate daily? If not, would that be something that is calling my name? Am I willing to start right here & right NOW...
Mini meditation (1-5 minutes)
Record the instructions or ask someone to read it for you:
Let's Begin. Find a comfortable place and posture to practice. You can be seated or lay down, as you wish.
Release your shoulders, lengthen your spine & close your eyes.
Relax your face, separate teeth - feel the space in your forehead, in between your eye browns.
Relax your eyes and the muscles behind the eyes --- and open the eye in. The eye of the wisdom, the eye of knowing -
"There is nowhere to go, and nothing else to do. No-one else to be." Just be. Let everything around you to be - just the way it is - in this moment, feeling no need to change anything from outside, nor inside. Practice stillness. Quietness...
Stay with this meditation as long as you like to.
When you feel ready, slowly open your eyes again & notice how you feel, maybe write down few words.
It's good to know that meditation is natural for human beings. Take it in to your daily life... 5 minutes (or more ) a day is The Way Of Mastery!
