Early mornings. Long days. Two daily practices. Emotions that range from tears to laughter, frustration to pure joy. Being in a teacher training is a empowering, transformational, all- encompassing journey that will surely send us away as very different persons to when we started. Being in a teacher training with It’s Yoga means that we will expand our practice, our viewpoint and our understanding. The training will invite us to challenge assumptions that we held about the yoga practice, ourselves and others. It will show us new ways of looking at the same thing.
In two daily practices, we have the opportunity to experiment with our bodies, move beyond what we believe to be our limitations, and deepen our practice physically and emotionally. The daily journaling post-practice allows us to deepen the knowledge of our own asana practices and to put theoretical concepts into training. The circles give us the opportunity to share our newly found insight with fellow yogis and expand our understanding of what the asana practice means to us as an individual, and to other practitioners. The practical sessions will provide us with all the necessary information required to make us a knowledgeable practitioners and facilitators that share the love of the practice with awareness, connection and passion.
The Foundation of it All ~ RYT 200hr with It's Yoga
The RYT 200hr Ashtanga Vinyasa training is the basis of the It’s Yoga system and the following Rocket® trainings. In a month-long journey, we will discover facets of ourselves and our practice that we might not have known existed. It is a life-changing process that will open doors for us, personally and professionally. The 200hr training really allows us to delve deep into our own practices, while exploring new ways that could work for us both on, and off the mat. It shares the heritage of the Ashtanga Vinyasa practice and of the It’s Yoga system. We have a month to spend time within ourselves and focus on creating paths that serves us best. The training brings clarity, focus, purpose and intention.
301 Rocket® Foundations
The first Rocket® training will take us flying Higher.
The 301 training of 100hr towards the RYT-500 is about finding freedom in our practice while honouring the roots of the Ashtanga Vinyasa practice and the lineage of the It’s Yoga routines. Based on the Ashtanga Full Primary Series, The Rocket® I routine focuses on strength & forward folding as Yoga Chikitsa (Yoga Therapy), while incorporating poses from the intermediate series of Ashtanga Vinyasa that will keep the energy high, the poses flowing and the practice playful.
The 301 Rocket® Foundations training is open to anyone with a Yoga Alliance certified 200-RYT training. This training teaches us about freedom with alignment and offers us the opportunities to keep our own practices fun and creative, always staying tuned to the main ingredients of the practice that is the breath, bandhas (energy locks) and the drishti (eye gaze).
302 Rocket® Take-Off
Where the 301 training first teaches us about seeing the world other-way-around-upside-down, the 302 Take-Off certainly keeps our feet off the ground in arm balances, hearts and minds open in backbends and teaches us all about union of balancing strength and flexibility.
During 10 days of learning about flying, transitioning and bandhas, we also have the opportunity to really land down and go deeper on the ‘Yin Thursdays’ as the 302 training includes 20 hours of Yin & Restorative Yoga. This training teaches us about subtle balance within, finding strength and calmness, while exploring our own practice from a different perspective and gaining knowledge on the anatomical body. Above all, however, being in a training means getting to know ourselves truly; working through blockages to make space for love, lightness and freedom. It is about growing into our potential and passion and spreading it with the world. It is about creating a worldwide community of fellow yogis and sharing the practice we all fall in love daily & dearly. It is about joining "The Silent Revolution” ~ turning away from things that no longer serve us, and instead focusing our attention on that what does. It is about becoming a part of the lineage of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and the It’s Yoga community. It is about being the best version of ourselves, so that we can love ourselves and others more.
It is about remembering that we are always in training and that the training begins, when the training ends.
All the way, right & left with love and light!
