This is it.
It's Yoga Fuerteventura's first blog post.
I have waited for this moment since the day I knew this place will be here.
I love to write. I love to share my thoughts in writing. I love to read written words. It literally blew my mind (what a funny saying and so true) when I came to It's Yoga 200 Hours Teacher Training in 2014 and I learned that "Write it down" is how one figures out this all_yoga_stuff in this system.
"I have a question, I don't get it, why is this like this?" - Write it down, they said. "Write it down".
So I did.
I wrote down when I felt confused and when I didn't know what to do. I wrote it down when I got the feeling of balance and suddenly figured out something, when it all made sense to me. All there is, is equal, they said. How it slowly started to makes sense to me... "All there is: is equal." I am equal, we are equal. All emotions I feel are equal, even the ones I would not want to feel.
In a Rocket class all the poses, variations and modifications, all practitioners are equal. This first blog post is equal. These written words that took me over 2 years to figure out, are all here now. Done, check. This is it. 123 -
I love it already.
Having an opportunity to share my thoughts and feelings - light the way and people will read it.
I bow to you readers, Namasté!
Thank you for sharing these first steps. It will be an amazing journey! We will share thoughts about the yoga practice, about the Ashtanga Yoga & Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. I will share my love for The Rocket, this practice that I do that totally changed my life. I want to share with you how we roll in It's Yoga Fuerteventura and in this It's Yoga system - how I figured it out.
I’ll write about my way and about the people I meet on my way. Hopefully some of them will also share here their experiences. I’ll tell you about the life on this island, how it feels to be surrounded by the ocean, daily.
Thank you for being here. Your presence is essential.
It's Yoga Fuerteventura was born out of the written thought (a wish) to hear and see the ocean; to wear flip flops and to learn to surf the wave of life. After one year I can share, it is just like Jim Carrey says on one of his videos... "It's like riding the wave. Sometimes I'm on, sometimes I'm off... but at least I know where I want to go. And I want to take as many people with me as I possibly can. Because the feeling is amazing."
Go ahead, watch the video from here.
So here we go! Just like in a yoga class: It's all done just by being there.
Being present, open and willing to go for it. Everything else will follow from that space; breath in, invite - breath out, observe. - and feeling grateful for that awareness. Right, left, they said. Step by step.
Thank you Kiitos Gracias Grazie - we all start somewhere, this one started now here - Namasté!
